Detailed PESTLE Analysis of Credit Agricole

The detailed PESTLE analysis for Credit Agricole Group is presented below:

POLITICAL

  1. Implication of Brexit on UK operations: The United Kingdom is scheduled to leave the European Union in 2019. This Brexit has created a great deal of uncertainty within the insurance sector. This is because the financial service industries of Europe work according to a single intrinsic market. After Brexit, UK will no longer remain a part of this market. Also, it is expected to also lose all pass porting rights which are used to underwrite policies and insure risks across Europe. Once the UK leaves the EU, they won’t be the part of the financial risk management framework also known as the solvency II. Therefore, the divisions of Credit Agricole Group operating in UK will be regulated by a different framework which might be advantageous as UK would have its own set of rules.
