According to Forbes magazine report as of May 2016 revenue was $97.11 billion. Generali Group has an experience of over 180 years in the business and hence its known for Knowledgeable investment management
2. Good worldwide reputation: Since it’s inception in 1831 Generali Group has came up with an image which is responsible and on which people can rely. For a company in insurance sector this is very much important which has added to the strength of Generali Group and have enhanced their reputation worldwide.
3. Involved in aggressive Marketing: The Company has strong penchant for aggressive marketing which can be seen from both ATL and BTL marketing which it follows.
4. International presence and worldwide reputation: The Company has large market shares in European countries like Italy, Germany, Poland, The Netherlands, France etc. Also in 2014, Generali Group stood at 48th position according to Fortune Global 500 companies. It is also on 43rd position on MITs worldwide "Smartest Companies" ranking in 2015.This shows that Generali has huge International presence and worldwide reputation
5. Vast range of portfolio:Generali group since its inception in 1831 has been known for innovative product portfolios which can cater to all its target population. Today too being a major player in the global insurance industry it has vast range of portfolios.

1. Lack of insurance awareness and financial literacy:One of the main area of concern is the lack insurance awareness and financial literacy among target audience. Due to this Generali group is not able to achieve revenues to the potential it can.
2. Poor image when payment of dues is concerned: It is imperative for us to understand that there is common image about the insurance sector prevailing in the mind of customers which is most of the time bad. This is mainly when payment of dues is concerned
3. Lack of proper marketing activity: Although Generali group invest a lot on Marketing campaign but there is lack of proper management of budget in the Marketing activity. Also, with the world growing digital in leaps and bounds its time that Generali group should focus more on digital marketing
