HCA Healthcare is a for-profit healthcare provider based in the United States. Its headquarters are in Nashville, Tennessee. In 21 states and the United Kingdom, the company owns and operates 186 hospitals and approximately 2,000 care locations, including surgery centres, freestanding emergency rooms, urgent care centres, and physician clinics. In 1986, Dr Thomas F. Frist Sr., Dr Thomas F. Frist Jr., and Jack C. Massey founded Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) in Nashville, Tennessee. HCA Healthcare has conducted many medical reports in peer-reviewed journals, including the REDUCE MRSA report published in the New England Journal of Medicine, by conducting large-scale clinical trials with collaborators such as the Harvard Pilgrim Institute and the CDC and using data obtained from their patients. HCA Healthcare has grown in importance as a provider of clinical and medical education in recent years. With 56 teaching hospitals in 14 states, it is the largest supporter of graduate medical education programmes in the United States, especially in areas where physician training programmes are lacking. Research College of Nursing and Mercy School of Nursing are part of the company, which also operates several advanced nursing simulation training centres. The corporation also supports childhood and youth development services, scholarships, community-based health centres, and not-for-profit organisations' operating budgets. On March 11, 2021, the corporation reported a $250,000 donation on behalf of the foundation and its associated hospitals in Texas to support recovery efforts by humanitarian groups, including the American Red Cross, in many communities throughout the state that were impacted by February's winter storms. On 23rd February 2021, the company was recognized as the "2021 World's Most Ethical Companies" by Ethisphere, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices.

1. Wide Network of 185 hospitals and 142 health care sites all over USA and UK: Since its inception, HCA has acquired many hospitals and health care institutes over the 20 States of USA and in UK. With the highest number of hospitals of 46 in Texas, HCA has 49,265 fully operational beds including 888 beds of a total of 7 hospitals in UK. Excluding the shares of two states, HCA has a 25.9% market share. These numbers directly imply the strong footprint HCA has in one of the leading economic countries of the world, added with increased facilities and growth over the years. Ambulatory care, access services and freestanding surgery centers have steeply increased over the years and helped HCA to become the leading health care provider of the country. In order to effectively manage the extended network of hospitals, HCA also acquired a technology company called Valify.
2. Wide variety of treatment including Psychiatric and Cancer Hospitals: Through its 178 general, acute care hospitals, the company provides services such as surgery, laboratory, radiology, respiratory therapy, cardiology and physical therapy. Along with these the company also provides wide variety of treatments for psychiatric and cancer patients. Some of the cancer treatments offered by the company includes cryotherapy for prostate cancer, surgery for stomach cancer and GISTS, fertility preservation and cancer, chemotherapy and systematic anti-cancer therapy, etc. As of December 31st, 2020, the company has 5 psychiatric hospitals with 593 licensed beds.
