Detailed PESTLE Analysis of JFC

The detailed PESTLE analysis for Jollibee Foods Corporation is presented below:

POLITICAL

  1. Increasing labor costsand labor shortages will impact the operational costs: Labor costs have been rising due to labor shortages. Restaurant and fast-food workers are demanding an increase in their minimum wage of up to 15$. Due to the pandemic, restaurants and fast-food chains are unable to keep locations staffed and have to compete for workers with providing bonuses and other facilities. The quit rate reached 5.6% in April for the foodservice sector in the U.S. and this rate is an all-time high for this sector. Labor shortage led to delayed or cancelled orders and thereby decreased customer satisfaction. In case labor shortage continues then Jollibee will be forced to increase labor wages in order to attract workers which will impact its operational costs.
