Procter and Gamble (P&G) is an American company that specializes in consumer good items. Its product assortment ranges from beauty, health and family care to baby care and even fabric and home care. The company has a long-standing heritage with its foundations going as far back as 1837, Cincinnati, Ohio. The headquarters of the company till date are located in Cincinnati only two blocks away from its erstwhile location. The formation of the company was a result of a partnership between William Procter and James Gamble and in the beginning dealt only in the soap and candle making business.
The company today has as many as 65 leadership brands under its banner, half of those who gross $500 million each year in revenues. In 2022, P&G Procter & Gamble is slated to invest $110 million for the expansion of one of its two Greensboro manufacturing plants which will be operation in 2024. P&G’s vision is to be “recognized as, the best consumer products and services company in the world.”

The company's revenue rose from $65.3 billion in FY2016 to $76.1 billion in FY2021 symbolizing 16.54% of growth. Its operating income also jumped from $13.3 billion in 2016 to $17.98 billion in FY2021. P&G's organic sales grew by 6% y-o-y (from 2020-2021). Biennially organic sales growth has spurred from 3% across FY17 and FY18 to 11% across FY19 and FY20 symbolizing the underlying strength of P&G's brands and its strategy that is accelerating its business. Precisely in FY2021, from its largest and most profitable segments, i.e. US and China, P&G attained growth in its organic sales by 8% and 12% respectively.
