Over the plan’s four years, Veolia's revenue progressed an average of 3.6% annually, EBITDA by 4.6%, and current net income by 9.6%. 1. Concrete solutions to support climate transition: By and large concrete facts and tried-and-tested solutions are needed to contribute to fighting climate change. In line with this approach Veolia's action is focused on several areas to help mitigate climate change: reduce its own GHG emissions, develop the circular economy and solutions contributing to energy savings, etc. Replacing coal with less GHG-emitting sources of energy to produce heat is a good example of applying this approach. The amalgamation of Veolia and Solvay has led to an exemplary industrial project to produce energy from renewable sources rather than coal.
