About Aeroflot

PJSC Aeroflot – Russian Airlines is commonly known as Aeroflot. Public Joint Stock Company “Aeroflot-Russian Airlines” is the largest airline in Russia and a major European carrier. Established in 1923, Aeroflot is one of Russia's most recognized brands. It is one of the world's most established carriers, with a rich legacy, the most recent developments and a significant level of digitalization. Today, Aeroflot is an honor winning carrier with operational unwavering quality and notoriety for industry-driving client care confirmed by Skytrax's Four Star Airline status. Aeroflot Group includes Aeroflot – Russian Airlines, Rossiya, Pobeda and Aurora. Aeroflot’s USP lies in it being one of the oldest active airlines in the world, as it was founded and operated since 1923. Each of the Group’s airlines targets a dedicated market segment, thereby minimizing intra-Group competition. Aeroflot airline focuses on addressing the needs of the premium passenger segment by offering best-in-class services, a high frequency route network with extensive flight geography and access to the route network of partners from the SkyTeam Alliance. Rossiya airline has three focal areas: scheduled flights from Saint Petersburg, scheduled flights from Moscow and charter flights for tour operators. Pobeda airline targets the low-cost segment for both domestic and international destinations. Enhancing the energy and environmental efficiency: Aeroflot PJSC's environmental policy is aimed at enhancing the energy and environmental efficiency of the company's end product: the carriage of passengers, baggage, mail and cargo. The policy's main focus is to significantly improve aircraft fuel efficiency, thereby reducing the environmental impact and cutting a major operating expense. Aeroflot PJSC, as the undisputed leader of Russia's commercial aviation, recognizes its great responsibility towards society and future generations, and strives to ensure environmental sustainability in everything it does. To achieve its environmental policy goals, Aeroflot PJSC has adopted the few commitments. It plans to maintain an environmental management system that will help us ensure that our facilities and operations comply with the highest international environmental standards. It also aims to reduce energy consumption by introducing resource-efficient methods and technologies. The Group aims to use environmental efficiency indicators as one of the key criteria for selecting suppliers and contractors. The developed and implemented energy efficiency action plan will allow Aeroflot PJSC to save 1.5 million tons of jet fuel per year and to reduce its consumption rate by 43.6 % by 2020. With these commitments in place, Aeroflot is likely to keep environment as one of its priorities while operating.
