About Grundfos Holding

Grundfos is the world's largest pump manufacturer, headquartered in Denmark and founded in 1945. More than 16 million pump units are produced each year, including circulator pumps (UP), submersible pumps (SP), and centrifugal pumps (CR). Grundfos also produces electric motors for pumps and separate marketing. Grundfos designs and sells electronic controls for pumps and other systems. Grundfos was founded in 1945 in Bjerringbro by the late Poul Due Jensen in the cellar of his home. Grundfos circulator pumps are used for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning in various settings, including private residences, office buildings, and hotels. Circulator pumps are used in processes, plant maintenance, and as built-in parts of Originals Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) products. Grundfos manufactures pumps for irrigation, greenhouses, municipal, private, and industrial water supply and sewage applications. The products in the fire systems sector comply with prominent standards such as FM, NFPA20, LPCB, VdS, EN12845 for fire sprinkler systems, and many more local standards. The Grundfos Group is represented by firms all around the world. In addition, Grundfos products are sold by distributors in over 50 countries. As of 2025, it employs approximately 20,000 people.
