1. Expanding Obamacare in 10 states in 2021: Cigna works on a business model that works on the economies of scales and thus, been trying to expand its reach since inception. In addition to their mission of providing top class medical facilities at affordable prices, their focus is also on scaling their business and covering as much ground as possible to create awareness and to reach the needy. Under the political trump card of the Obama presidency the Affordable Care Act (ACA) commonly referred to as Obamacare, Cigna is planning to increase their coverage to more than 200 counties across 10 states 2021 onwards. They will be achieving this feat through collaborations with multiple organisations like Blue Cross, Centene, Oscar Health etc who have already been expanding under Obamacare.
