1. Strong competitive advantage generated by Group structure: IAG Group’s unique holding structure allows independent growth of its different brands which consist of British Airways, Aer Lingus, Iberia and Vueling. The Group’s brand portfolio is diversified with low cost and high end airlines by combination of having very focused operating companies, with distinct brands and very clear customer propositions. The individual brands can leverage on the strong support platform of the Group and can do things much more efficiently through economies of scale. By having a range of products through world-class brands, they can serve the entire market, increase its brand strength.

Strong operational and financial performance with consistent shareholder returns: IAG Group exhibited strong operational and financial performance in FY17 with 19% growth in full year operating profit. IAG also reduced its overall Adjusted net debt to €7,759 million in FY17 from €8,159 million in FY17.The Group also recorded 14% growth in EPS to 102.8 € cents and 15% growth in DPS to 27 € cents in FY17. €1bn cash returned to shareholders in form of buybacks and dividends in FY17. IAG has been able to deliver its mission promise, improving shareholder trust.
