1. Focus on using renewable energy for power consumption: Multinationals need to follows the internationally recognized environmental management system to continuously improve their environmental performance. KSB is highly environmentally conscious and hence endeavours to employ renewable sources for its energy needs. In order to minimize energy consumption and reduce its carbon footprint, the German conglomerate conducts regular energy audits at all its major European facilities. KSB SE & Co. has established an environmental management system at three of its locations. It used 56.4% of renewable energy in fiscal 2019. KSB SE emitted 21,142 tonnes of CO2 in 2019 and 21,215 tonnes in 2018. This indicates reduction in its CO2 emissions in 2019, as compared to 2018. The company aims to reduce the CO2 emissions of its manufacturing plants by 30% by the end of 2025. The German pump manufacturing giant had also made a provision of €921 thousand for any kind of environmental contamination.
